SUMMARY

Nexamp is seeking a Director of Accounting to join its team based in our Boston office. This position will report to the Senior Vice President, Accounting. The Director of Accounting will be responsible for Corporate accounting and close for the Company.  This individual will have the opportunity for future growth and development amongst a group of high achieving and fun professionals. We are seeking a driven, dedicated, and enthusiastic professional to join our dynamic team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Direct monthly, quarterly and year-end close processes
  • Manage and direct corporate accounting team
  • Review corporate accounting workpapers related to inventory, revenue, accruals and capitalized development
  • Direct all aspects of accounting; revenue accounting, general accounting, inventory, accounts payable, and month end processes
  • Work closely with other business departments such as development, procurement, construction and finance
  • Assist in annual audits
  • Assist and work closely with FP&A team in budget and reforecasting processes
  • Lead NetSuite projects to create efficiencies in processes for inventory and revenue
  • Prepare presentations to Vice President, Accounting, Senior Vice President, Accounting and CFO

QUALIFICATIONS

Ideal candidate must be enthusiastic, self-motivated, results oriented and operate well in a collaborative team environment. The ideal candidate should be prepared for increased responsibilities as they relate to the role in a rapidly growing company. Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum 7 years of experience
  • CPA or equivalent preferred
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP (and IFRS is a plus)
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strict attention to detail
  • Experience with NetSuite a plus
  • Self-motivated, diligent, detailed and deadline-oriented and ability to multitask
  • Willing and able to adapt to a high energy, fast paced environment.
  • Enthusiastic and eager to learn and grow
