Job Description

·         Strong understanding of, and familiarity with, the operation of the company's business, products, markets, facilities, and customers.  ·         Support Operations, Innovation, HR, IT, Finance, and Marketing departments in third party contract commercial contract matters, including reviewing, drafting, negotiating, and redlining commercial contracts (MSAs, Consulting Agreements, SaaS Agreements, Licenses, Proposal Terms and Conditions, Engagement Letters, Letters of Intent, SOWs and NDAs) for a variety of service offerings to protect the interests of the company and its subsidiaries·         Draft and negotiate real estate related agreements (leases, service contracts, construction agreements, management agreements, hold harmless agreements, licenses, agreement terminations/extensions).·         Support the contract management and administration functions, including oversight of existing and new contracts, periodic reviews and compliance analysis, contract renewals, and record retention·         Provide legal advice on contract interpretation, risk management, data privacy, and corporate policies and procedures, including employment and other policies, standards, and practices·         Conduct legal research and compliance reviews as necessary to provide advice to company management on legal issues·         Collaborate and working as part of a team with business leaders and other partners to provide innovative solutions in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. 

Qualifications

  • Juris doctorate degree with at least 5+ years of relevant in house or law firm commercial transactional experience
  • Admission in good standing to a state bar, preferably California
  • Substantial experience in supplier/procurement transactions a strong plus
  • Ability to partner effectively with clients in a team environment, working across a large number of diverse internal groups, teams and divisions
  • Effective communicator, with the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with clients, coworkers, and colleagues.
  • Desire to work in a demanding, fast-paced environment, with a growth mindset
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment and focus on the strategic needs of the business
  • Strong organizational and project management skills and the ability to handle a high volume of matters while balancing competing demands
