The Role

This is a newly created Financial Controller role that will report to the CFO and will manage a team of ~ 5 people and will increase as the business expands.

In this Start-up position you will lead the Financial Reporting, Management reporting and Analysis in this broad hands on role which will be highly visible across the business.

The role will also help to ensure appropriate internal controls are in place with processes working efficiently and effectively for the business as it continues to expand internationally.

The first 6 - 12 months will be hands-on and involve helping to set up processes and key operations for the business, before taking a more strategic view and focusing on more diverse activities. The key to this role will be delegating and leveraging automation.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing and managing all aspects of the finance function including
    financial reporting, statutory and regulatory compliance cash and foreign exchange management and business analysis;
  • Leading core transactional functions including AR, AP, and payroll;
  • Continuing to develop best practice financial systems and processes of in
    line with our quickly scaling revenue with a focus on enhanced automation and internal controls;
  • Leading Zoomo through our first and subsequent external audits;
  • Leading the Group budget and forecasting processes, including liaising, sharing results and analysis with relevant stakeholders;
  • Managing the month end and year close, including balance sheet reconciliations on a timely and accurate basis;
  • Providing accurate, timely and insightful reporting and analysis to key stakeholders including investors and debt funders;
  • Responsible for Group Taxation policies and compliance and liaising with the organisation’s tax advisors as to fit for purpose tax strategies;
  • Mentoring and developing the finance managers and finance associates;
  • Working on a significant number of critical projects, such as working with
    the Product and Tech teams to develop the financial capabilities of our
    Platform and other offerings.
  • Business finance lead in the implementation of the ERP;
  • Continual process of increasing visibility and insights on the numbers for the organisation;

Requirements

Your Profile

1. CA Qualified and Big 4 trained - required

2. Technical experience across Audit, Compliance, Tax, Process, ASIC regs.

3. Ability to lead a medium size team including multi elements such as AP / AR / Offshore assistance

4. Previous Tech or Start-up Experience is desirable but not required

5. Exceptional communication skills
