SUMMARY

Nexamp is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its Boston office. This position will report to the Director of Accounting and will be responsible for month end functions, reporting, third party services accounting, and other ad-hoc projects. This individual will have the opportunity for future growth and development amongst a group of high achieving and fun professionals. We are seeking a driven, dedicated, and enthusiastic professional to join our dynamic team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for the execution and performance of accounting and finance activities, including, but not limited to:

  • Record monthly journal entries for the financial close, which include (but are not limited) to prepaids, fixed assets, accruals, debt, revenue, etc.
  • Maintain supporting schedules for the month-end close and assist with the preparation of the project financials
  • Create and maintain cash reconciliations weekly and for month end close
  • Prepare financial statement reporting packages and various deliverables to investors and lenders
  • Assist in the creation/development of financing packages for lenders for projects that are in construction.
  • Manage Intercompany Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable balances
  • Support the AR, AP, and corporate accounting functions as needed.
  • Ad-hoc projects as requested by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

Ideal candidate must be enthusiastic, self-motivated, results-oriented and operate well in a collaborative, team environment. The ideal candidate should be prepared for increased responsibilities as they relate to the role and in a rapidly growing company.

  • Associate’s Degree in Accounting or related field required, Bachelor’s preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with management, all departments across the organization, and vendors outside the organization.
  • Strict attention to detail.
  • Willing and able to adapt to a high energy, fast paced environment.
  • Highly motivated, proactive, and efficient.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong time management skills, ability to manage multiple projects at once
  • Strong Microsoft Office and overall computer skills.
  • Enthusiastic and eager to learn and grow.
