Project Canary’s mission is to make net-zero a reality by quantifying climate change and putting actionable insights into the hands of the energy sector. Our diverse and inclusive team of operators, scientists, engineers, and sales leaders know how to network, hustle, and are change-makers by design. We ingest data from various sources, including our own proprietary environmental sensors/hardware, to calculate carbon emissions from different facilities in real-time displayed on a SaaS dashboard. The resulting independent trusted data can inform the procurement of offsets in real-time using micro-transactions, formulate a data-driven ESG strategy that investors now demand, improve operations by identifying problem areas in minutes, and bolster customer engagement through radical supply chain transparency.

Initially, we are focused on the energy industry. With thousands of energy assets analyzed and hundreds of environmental and air quality sensors currently deployed, Project Canary is positioned better than anyone to provide empirical ESG data—and we have the ARR and growing pains to prove it.

Responsibilities:

• Research investor and municipally owned utilities, their decarbonization strategies, regulatory environments, investor environments, and other market data
• Calculate carbon emission reductions from various sustainability strategies
• Develop targeted presentations to convey complex technical information for customer acquisition
• Organize and track customer and regulatory engagement (sales pipeline)
• Manage and analyze data for customer tracking and demand forecasting

The ideal candidate will have:

• Ability to understand quantitative measurement of carbon emissions and/or other environmental, societal, and governance impact measures
• Familiarity with energy and utility industry and its data resources
• Strong presentation deck skills
• CRM proficiency
• Intellectual curiosity and humility
• Ability to work independently, effectively multi-task, manage deadlines, learn quickly, and possess superior attention to detail
• Ability to understand technical applications and explain complex problems concisely
• High IQ, EQ and ethical standards

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience
• Self-motivation and excellent work ethic, required
• Ability to work independently
• Interest in ESG and a mission-oriented organization
• Possess a strong attention to detail and ability to solve problems
• Ability to balance a sense of urgency while maintaining the highest level quality in all work deliverables
• Ability to understand technical applications and explain complex problems concisely
• Ability to follow business rules and guidelines
