SUMMARY

The Asset Management department is a growing organization with a vision to continuously enhance Nexamp’s customer-facing business processes. The Asset Management Specialist will work within our Asset Management Group to support ongoing actions to better streamline or operations and increase the value of our operational Solar PV and Battery Storage portfolios.

In this role the specialist will be focused on the important work of managing our contractual and municipal obligations related to the land we lease for our projects. Key responsibilities will be tracking and potentially abating municipal tax bills, building relationships with town assessors and local tax experts, and managing the landowner relationships and obligations that come with our solar leases.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform detailed data analyses across the portfolio to determine the lease expense and tax responsibilities for our operational assets
  • Abstract customer agreements and tax related documents to develop a comprehensive database of opportunities and limitations related to shared and reimbursable expenses.
  • Coordinate and optimize quarterly and annual municipal tax payment and reporting requirements
  • Answer inbound calls and address any property owner inquiries providing high quality customer service throughout issue resolution, close out and follow up.
  • Maintain Property Owner Relationship Management database with contact, owner, and issue information.
  • Strong organizational skills; ability to accomplish multiple tasks within the agreed upon timeframes through effective prioritization of duties and functions in a fast-paced environment
  • Analyze tax and lease expense trends to highlight opportunities to reduce project expenses and optimize long-term portfolio value
  • Ability to work with different functional groups and levels of employees to achieve results effectively and professionally.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field. 
  • 1-3 years of professional experience, ideally in customer service, accounts payable, or data analysis role. 
  • Experience with land leases, solar development, or real and property tax management preferred. 
  • High attention to detail with excellent follow up 
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills 
  • Comfort with P&L analysis 
  • Operationally focused with an inclination towards streamlining and automating workflows. 
  • Comfort with detailed reading of contracts 
  • Self-starter 
  • Proven customer service experience
