About The Role:
As the Delivery Dispatcher for our operation in the Bay Area, you are directly responsible for overseeing and assisting in the daily delivery of our boxes which includes San Francisco, North Bay, South Bay, and East Bay. You will manage, mentor, and develop a team of drivers who ultimately ensure that our customers have a great experience when they open their boxes. This is an exciting time to join the team because you will play a huge part in shaping this operation and building a blueprint for future launches in new cities. You will be reporting to the Delivery Manager and assisting in ensuring a successful assembly and delivery of produce boxes from our warehouse in San Francisco, CA.

About You

  • 2+ years experience in dispatching/driving role
  • Working knowledge of optimization techniques and process flow improvements
  • Experience managing a nimble, fast-growing team
  • Computer skills, particularly Excel
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Highly organized and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Excels at independent, unsupervised work
  • Excited about Imperfect Foods and our mission!

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing all our drivers from load-out
  • Planning routes with our system
  • Respond to calls from drivers on their routes who need support
  • Communicate with Customer Care team on any customer delivery issues and failed deliveries
  • Staff the routes and assign routes to drivers daily

Details of Position

  • This position reports to the Director of Distribution.
  • Full-time, non-exempt position that supports the growth and performance of the San Francisco Bay Area

At Imperfect Foods, employee health and safety is our top priority. We have implemented processes and precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in our facilities. We provide gloves, masks, and hand sanitizer to all essential employees who must report to work. Before entering our warehouse, employees have their temperatures checked. In addition, we take great care to ensure frequently touched surfaces are sanitized throughout the day and all warehouses are fully sanitized weekly.
We have also implemented an Emergency Sick Leave policy providing full-time and part-time employees 2 additional weeks of paid time off and up to 26 weeks paid leave if they have a confirmed case of COVID-19.
