Position: Senior Financial Analyst – Commercial Financial Planning and Analysis, Central Iowa

The Senior Finance Analyst will be a key contributor in this fast-growing company and will be positioned to make a real impact on finance and the business. They will assist with the development and execution of all of Pivot Bio’s FP&A capabilities including financial reporting and analytics, business models and cash projections, and comprehensive, strategic thinking about the business to drive performance. The Senior Finance Analyst will be hands-on in executing and administering end-to-end FP&A capabilities in a high-growth, high-potential environment.

Responsibilities

  • Executes annual budgeting and monthly rolling forecasting activities, as well as monthly financial reporting and analysis
  • Develops and maintains Pivot Bio’s financial models, forecasts, KPIs, and recurring reporting and analysis of sales, expenses, customer/product profitability, and unit cost analysis
  • Conducts financial modeling to support tactical and strategic decision-making including business case development, performance management, and sensitivity analysis
  • Enables value-added insight through additional analysis and reporting to support department activity
  • Works closely with theSenior Director of Business Operationsand other department heads to understand cash position and outlook; supports financing efforts including ad hoc business analysis for strategic decision support
  • Participates as a key contributor to the upgrade, design, development and implementation of core systems and processes, including FP&A software and dashboard tools
  • Reporting to theSenior Director of Business Operationswith significant collaboration with the entire finance team, and all executive and management levels in the business
  • Special projects/duties as assigned by theSenior Director of Business Operationsor other Senior Management

Qualifications

The successful candidate will be a highly intelligent, self-confident individual with an appetite for risk and for pioneering transformational technology. Furthermore, we seek:

  • 3+years FP&A or equivalent experience; with increasing levels of responsibility
  • Bachelors’ Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics; MBA a plus
  • Experience with major ERP systems(Netsuiteor other) and associated planning and reporting tools
  • Experience with salesand production finance
  • Essential background in forecasting, financial analysis, financial modeling, operational analysis, performance analysis, and financial reporting
  • Collaboration is a strong skillset
  • Superb attention to detail, strong planning and organization skills, ability to prioritize and deliver in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; exhibits ‘extreme ownership’ attitude in areas of responsibility
  • Prior experience in a dynamic, high growth environment is strongly preferred
