In light of its further international business expansion, Parkwind is looking to enlarge its Public Affairs & Sustainability team with a Sustainability Officer.


Your Role:

You will be a member of a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team and will report to the Public Affairs & Sustainability Manager. In this role, you will mostly be involved at corporate level. Your main responsibilities will include the following:


  • Support the development and implementation of our corporate sustainability strategy;
  • Coordinate strategic sustainability assessments such as the double materiality assessment, EU Taxonomy assessment, carbon modelling exercise, etc.;
  • Identify, monitor and inform on regulatory developments related to sustainability (such as the CSRD, EU Taxonomy, CS3D, etc.);
  • Monitor the evolution of reporting standards internationally, at EU and national levels and ensure compliant sustainability reporting across relevant geographies (such as UK; Australia, New-Zealand, US, Belgium, Norway, Germany, Ireland, etc.);
  • Develop, prepare and coordinate compliant sustainability reporting in line with the European Sustainability Reporting Standards;
  • Collaborate closely with Parkwind’s subsidiaries, parent company, and relevant departments (QHSSE, HR, Finance, etc.) to integrate sustainability practices;
  • Develop and implement environmental and social due diligence processes in line with internationally recognized frameworks such as the United Nations Guiding Principles and OECD Guidelines;
  • Manage supply chain sustainability performance though the implementation of measurement processes across supply chains and the development of KPI’s for monitoring and reporting on sustainability performance;
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of environmental and social management and reporting systems and tools;
  • Participate in sustainability working groups of multi-stakeholder groups and industry associations.

Your profile:

  • You have a master’s degree and/or additional qualifications in sustainability, sustainability transformation, sustainability management, business administration or other related field or you have the required equivalent experience.
  • You have minimum 2-3 years of experience, preferably with environmental and social sustainability integration.
  • You have a passion for sustainability and its integration in business processes and decision-making.
  • You have the ability to manage several topics at the same time without losing oversight.
  • You have good diplomatic and social skills and enjoy building relationships with stakeholders.
  • You are a team player and possess a high level of integrity.
  • You have an analytical mindset, you think strategically and you want to see things through from A-Z.
  • You are proficient in English, fluency in Dutch and/or French is a plus.
  • You have a genuine interest in the renewable energy sector and its sustainability challenges.
  • You are flexible and willing to travel on an occasional basis.
