The clock is ticking. What are you waiting for? How you'll contribute
  • Receive, store and issue raw material, parts, details and hardware to support shop floor operations
  • Verify all material received for conformity with accompanying paperwork, checking for damage, correct part numbers, quantity and revisions
  • Collaborate closely with the Supply Chain Management team to design and implement an effective warehouse system, including the setup of storage locations and inventory tracking methods
  • Contribute to the overall efficiency and reliability of our logistics operations, leading to improved material handling, reduced lead times, and seamless integration with other business processes for a smooth manufacturing
  • Support the development and maintenance of an accurate labeling system based on internal part numbers, ensuring all materials are properly identified and stored
  • Support the implementation of tools to monitor inventory levels, track the movement of goods, and optimize storage solutions
  • Support the establishment of an international shipping process, ensuring that large-scale CO2 absorption and electrolysis units are prepared and shipped efficiently to destinations within and outside the EU

Here's what the first 12 months in the role could look like:

Months 0-3: 
  • Onboarding: Familiarize yourself with Greenlyte’s product, our way of working and internal systems.
  • Process Understanding: Gain a deep understanding of our component tracking system, goods incoming process, inventory management.
  • Initial Contribution: Begin receiving, storing, and issuing materials, ensuring they meet quality standards while monitoring and tracking them in the internal system.
  • Warehousing system: Start working with the Supply Chain Management on the setup of storage locations and basic inventory tracking.
  • Labeling: Assist in the development of a labeling system for parts and materials.
  • Support System Implementation: Begin supporting the setup of tools for inventory monitoring and goods tracking.
  • International Shipping: Support with requirements for international shipping, assisting in the early stages of setting up processes for large-scale equipment shipments.

Months 3-6: 
  • Increased Responsibility: Take on more responsibility in receiving, storing, and issuing materials, ensuring all documentation and quality checks are completed accurately.
  • Warehouse System Setup: Continue collaborating with the Supply Chain Management team to further refine the warehouse system, contributing ideas for improving storage solutions and inventory tracking.
  • Labeling System Expansion: Play a more active role in refining and expanding the labeling system, ensuring all materials are correctly identified and stored.
  • Tool Implementation: Support the ongoing implementation of inventory tracking tools, assisting with testing
  • International Shipping: Actively support the setup and management of international shipping processes, assisting in the preparation and documentation for shipments outside the EU.

Months 6-12: 
  • Autonomous Material Handling: Independently manage the receipt, storage, and issuing of materials, ensuring smooth shop floor operations.
  • Warehouse Optimization: Take a leading role in optimizing the warehouse layout and inventory tracking processes, implementing improvements identified earlier.
  • Labeling System Maintenance: Ensure the labeling system is fully operational, with all materials accurately labeled and stored according to the updated system.
  • Tool Utilization: Fully utilize and support the ongoing enhancement of inventory tracking tools, ensuring data accuracy and system efficiency.
About you
Basic Qualifications
You have completed relevant vocational training or hold a degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Equivalent experience in warehouse management or logistics, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment, is also valued.

Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Experience: You have some experience in material handling, inventory management, or logistics, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting. Experience with international shipping processes and documentation is highly beneficial.
  • Skills: You possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in inventory management and material handling. You thrive in a dynamic environment, quickly adapting to new systems and processes.
  • Attitude: You are eager to learn and contribute, taking initiative in improving processes while collaborating effectively with the Supply Chain Management team.
  • Team Player: You work well in a collaborative environment, supporting your colleagues and contributing to team goals while also being capable of managing your tasks independently.

Noteworthy points
This role cannot be done fully remotely. We require someone who lives within commuting distance to Essen or is open to relocate which we are happy to support.
