What we're looking for

You’ll be one of the first hires on Visia’s forward-deployed software engineering team. We’re looking for builders with a customer-centric mindset — if a role involving face-time with customers, testing ML models on-site, leveraging our proprietary ML platform to drive customer improvements, and being able to work on cutting-edge ML appeals to you, then read on.

You would serve as a bridge between our customers and platform team, driving ML-first improvements and contributing to the Visia platform as we scale across North America.

Responsibilities

• Owning Visia platform implementations at customer facilities
  • Running performance/ML audits on-site
  • Re-training models (either on-site, or remotely) and faciliitating the addition of new model classes
  • Building workflows & automation systems that result in scalable & predictable ML performance
• Working closely with Visia’s platform team to critically analyze and ideate on real-world additions to the Visia platform
• Working to design, implement, and contribute to Visia’s ML platform

Qualifications

• A background in either Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a similar technical field
• Proficiency in Python and a solid understanding of UNIX command line usage
• Proficiency in PyTorch, Tensorflow, or an equivalent ML framework, and experience with training deep learning models is a plus
• Willingness to travel ~30-50% of your week during busy weeks, and comfortable with getting hands-on at industrial facilities to test system performance
• No minimum experience — just a strong passion for creating positive change in one of the world’s most important industries
