This position is Contract on-site in Hayward, CA, USA

Your Role

As the Lead Manufacturing Operator you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations within the manufacturing unit, ensuring that all processes run reliably and efficiently, and that the team meets the production targets while maintaining high quality standards.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of operators, provide guidance, training and mentorship on a daily basis. 
  • Oversee the daily operations, ensuring processes are running efficiently and in compliance with all regulatory and protocol requirements. 
  • Daily ensure that all products meet the quality standards, report any issues to the department associated and address any issues that may arise.
  • Identify areas for improvement within the manufacturing process and work with the team to implement these changes.
  • Enforce safety protocols and ensure that the team is adhering to all safety standards and regulations.
  • Ensure that all machinery and equipment are well maintained and in proper working order, coordinate with the maintenance team as necessary.
  • Act as a bridge between the manufacturing team and management, provide regular updates and escalate issues when.
  • Plan and allocate resources, such as manpower and machinery, efficiently to meet production targets. 
  • Oversee inventory of raw materials and ensure that there are adequate supplies for continuous production.
  • Daily generate production orders using Netsuite to ensure accurate data logging. 

Skills/Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience as a manufacturing operator or similar role.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Familiarity with Arena.
  • Experience using Netsuite required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. 
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite and Google Suite.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard equipment and technical expertise.
  • Knowledge of safety, quality, productivity, and inventory processes.
  • Ability to read and understand technical documentation and blueprints.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift, pull, and push moderate weights.
  • Good manual dexterity. 

 

Pay Rate: $20/hr - $22/hr

*Base salary only. Salary is dependent on multiple factors including, but not limited to, experience and location.

**Additional compensation may include equity, bonuses, stipends, medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and long-term disability insurance.
