In this role, you will be part of the core team responsible for performing geologic analysis and conducting field work on our properties. Working in tandem with one of KoBold’s Sr. Exploration Geologists, these roles will also work closely with our team of data scientists and software engineers to support development of our internal software tools and to evaluate prospects generated by our proprietary system.These roles are short duration contracts, 12 months, with monthly field work rotation of 3 weeks on and 1 week off.ResponsibilitiesThe Geologist will:<ul><li>Compile and evaluate various datasets at regional to prospect scales and conduct assessments of exploration potential</li><li>Review and evaluate geoscience data obtained whilst in the field</li><li>Perform a range of geological analyses and work collaboratively with data scientists</li><li>Contribute to the execution of field programs</li></ul>QualificationsA great Geologist candidate will have:<ul><li>A minimum of 2 years of field experience is strongly preferred</li><li>An excellent understanding of geologic fundamentals, ore systems, and mineral exploration</li><li>Experience evaluating ore-deposit prospectivity using field techniques and geospatial software, and an interest in doing both field and desktop work</li><li>Insatiable intellectual curiosity</li></ul>It is preferred but not required to have:<ul><li>Proficiency in QGIS, and Leapfrog</li><li>Experience with magmatic sulfide, sediment-hosted copper systems, or lithium pegmatite systems. </li></ul> We are committed to equal employment opportunities for all people. Location: Namibia, at this time KoBold is only accepting applications from Namibian citizens.<h1> </h1>  <h1> </h1>
