Your mission:
  • Providing legal consulting to management and business units, especially in contract law and negotiations on a national and international level, litigation, commercial law, IP, Data Protection and Compliance
  • Drafting and reviewing of contracts such as non-disclosure agreements, letters of intent, cooperation, partner and framework agreements, also in direct coordination with clients
  • Drafting and updating of legal templates for the above-mentioned purposes
  • Monitoring of current case law and legislation and derivation of necessary measures and identifying relevant strategic measures and recommendations
  • Collaboration will be a key aspect of your role, as you will work closely within the Legal Department, internal business units, departments, group companies and external advisors
  • General support within the Legal Department, e.g. in contract management
  • Taking on the role of implementing and monitoring of European and international export control regulations (including US) with the perspective possibility of taking on the role of Export Control Officer
Your profile:
  • Completed 1st and 2nd state examination in law or comparable qualification in German commercial law, with sound knowledge of German civil, commercial and corporate law, including international aspects; willingness to familiarize yourself with other areas of law and knowledge of other legal systems is an advantage.
  • 1-3 years of professional experience as a legal advisor in a company or law firm, ideally in international business law and/or arbitration.
  • Experience and knowledge in specialized areas of law: Knowledge of customs law, trade compliance and export control law is desirable, as well as a willingness to familiarize yourself with these areas.
  • Analytical and structured way of working: Confident demeanor, assertiveness and the ability to present complex legal issues in a concise and understandable manner.
  • Proactive and solution-oriented approach: Hands-on mentality with a focus on practical and creative, legally sound solutions and support in their implementation.
  • Very good MS Office skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented, cross-functional environment, also in an international context.
  • Fluency in written and spoken German and English; further language skills at business level are an advantage.
