JOB OVERVIEW
CNPSA is seeking a results-driven professional to join the on-site team in the role of Manager of Project Management, Budget and Risk to lead local and international team members as part of the Project Management Organization Reporting to the Director Refurbishment Project Management, Planning & Budget this role will be a representative of CNPSA supporting SNN in the refurbishment of the Cernavoda Unit 1.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Working in accordance with prescribed safety procedures and regulations:
- Develop and maintain project management governance, processes and tools to support effective delivery
- Ensure Project Managers have the necessary resources to successfully manage their projects
- Collaborate with PMs to establish project objectives, deliverables and performance metrics
- Oversee the budget development and ensure alignment with organizational financial objectives
- Monitor expenditures, track budget variances and provide regular financial reporting
- Establish and maintain a risk management process to identify, asses and mitigate project risks
- Collaborate with PMs to develop risk management plans and implement risk mitigation strategies
- Ensure regular and consistent review and assessment of new and existing risks ensuring a proactive approach to risk management
- Ensure all projects adhere to organizational policies, procedures and regulatory requirements
- Monitor compliance with project management standards and provide guidance for corrective actions
- Conduct project audits and assessments to ensure effectiveness of current processes and continual improvement
- Lead and mentor a team of project controls professionals
- Provide coaching and support to enhance skills and capabilities of project management team
QUALIFICATIONS
We are seeking dynamic and results-driven professionals who have the following:
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in project management and project controls roles.
- Extensive knowledge of Engineering /Project Management and Cost Control principles, codes and standards.
- A proven track record in previous large Projects in the Nuclear field.
- Demonstrated experience in CANDU Refurbishments.
- Ability to communicate effectively, possess excellent oral and writing skills, and strong facilitation, negotiation, influencing, and presentation skills. Ability to present information clearly and effectively.
- Ability to adequately disposition comments for other technical staff.
- Sound judgment and a keen sense of responsibility.
- Ability to work collaboratively with others in a team environment.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work to meet objectives and targets.
- Ability to make decisions based on established requirements, procedures and practices.
