Job Summary:

The position will be involved with Research Vector Production at a client location, supporting upstream production manufacturing activities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Working with up to 250 L-scale aseptic mammalian suspension (HEK293) cell culture in single-use bioreactors.
  • Working with small- and large-scale transient transfection, clarification via depth filtration, flat sheet hollow fiber tangential flow filtration.
  • Utilize high throughput automated column chromatography (e.g. PromoChrom Technologies SPE-03)
  • Perform data trending (e.g. metabolites, viable cell density, flux pressure) using different software
  • Perform buffer and tubing assembly preparation
  • Laboratory operations (ordering supplies, preparing buffers/mobile phase/culture media, operating laboratory equipment, participation in quality and safety assessments, sample receipt/management, utilize electronic lab notebook, data authoring/review/integrity following good documentation practices)
  • Support research scientists with their experiments based on company protocol, method, and procedures
  • Assist with maintenance of laboratory equipment
  • Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized laboratory
  • Follow good laboratory, documentation, and safety practices.

Leadership Responsibilities: 

  • Monitors day-to-day operations of direct reports 
  • Coordinates scheduling of work/training
  • Performs administrative tasks related to team member growth and development
  • May be responsible for maintaining multiple projects
