Robot Operator Roles will be full-time paid internships* with possible dates of:
- January - August 2025 [exact dates TBD]
- May - August 2025 [exact dates TBD - with paid training dates in Mid-April 2025]

As a field robot operator, you will be the instrumental to the success of our operations and will be a key part of the team developing the future of farming. Your role will be to ensure our robots are running at full capacity during the 2025 growing season. As the point person in the field, your tasks will include completing general maintenance, piloting robots manually and autonomously, and communicating with engineering staff about issues and suggested improvements. Responsibilities

  • Ensure robots are operating at all times
  • Be the first line of defense for all field issues
  • Work as part of a mobile unit team to manage robots and provide support for mechanical, electrical, or functional issues
  • Communicate with engineering support staff for high complexity issues and assist with troubleshooting
  • Complete battery swaps, tool changes, and general maintenance tasks
  • Pilot robots throughout field
  • Travel locally to customer fields
  • Assist with warehouse/field office activities as needed

Requirements

  • Strong technical background
  • Drivers license
  • Proficiency in interpreting and understanding assembly instructions and engineering documentation
  • Strong communication skills are key for this position
  • Knowledge of electrical systems is a plus
  • Familiarity with hand tools and power tools
  • Knowledge of farming is a huge plus
  • Willingness to work outdoors for 10 hour shifts.
