About the Job

The Global Engineering Pool in India is committed to deliver skilled resources to support projects and Internal standardization activities with in GEA for LPT as well as other GEA divisions with ultimate aim of generating potential savings for GEA by utilization of low-cost resources.

Responsibilities / Tasks

Role & Responsibilities - Senior Engineer - Automation

• Develop and maintain a uniform Automation solution for the LPT division, compatible with 

the major platforms from Siemens, Rockwell, Wonderware & Ignition

• Provide support to automation teams using the Codex service Desk

• Provide automation expert sales support to the LPT division

• Actively promote the use of MES & Digital Products in the LPT Division.

• Support the rollout of GEA Automation solutions and drive the automation standardizatio in the LPT division

• Provide engineering tools to the divisions to enable efficient software engineering

• Facilitation of HMI standards across the LPT division

• Partner with cross-functional teams within and outside the organisation.

• Working in close collaboration with GEA global & local teams.

• Must be able to work independently, remotely, and with minimal supervision 

• Must be capable of adapting quickly across job functions and responsibilities

Tasks - Senior Engineer - Automation

• As described in Role & Responsibility section.

Travel requirement

• Engineer would be based in Vadodara, India office.

• Travel requirements are less than 5% per year.

Your Profile / Qualifications

Bachelor of Engineering Degree in 

• Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation & Controls or similar education background

Work Experience -Senior Engineer - Automation

  At least 5 years.

• Experience on any particular Dairy / Brewery/ Food / Beverages / Pharma / Chemical Industry

•  Background in control systems-related software design for process/equipment control 

Skills - Engineer - Automation

• Experience of major automation platform- e.g. Siemens,Rockwell,Wonderware,Ignition.

• Experience of various programming languages on S88 standard e.g. ladder, SCL, STL,

• Strong software logic development and SCADA Screen development skills. Know how of basic MES. 

• Experience of Danfoss/SIEMENS VFD

• Experience of preparing FDS 

• Basic knowledge of Electrical drawing reading and components.

• Basic knowledge and understanding of P&ID drawing.

• Experience on other platform like SQL,SSRS,VB.net
