THE ROLE

We have a world class platform for e-mobility and are looking for a Software Engineering Leader to accelerate the benefits of our hardware for our riders and customers.

Your mission, should you choose to accept, will be to build and grow the Software Engineering team and ship amazing software in concert with our incredible hardware and operations.

In this role, you will:

• Grow the Zoomo software engineering team by attracting and hiring world class software engineers and technical professionals, and manage and coach the team to achieve amazing outcomes by delivering software that our end users and enterprise customers love
• Drive the improvement of our software engineering practices and technical architecture to deliver a resilient service that is an integral part of our world-class product line of e-bikes
• Collaborate closely with hardware engineering, product management and design, to make sure we can run at speed towards a common goal
• Create the overall technology strategy with hardware engineering leadership that encompasses ways of working, remote working, team composition, technology choices, delivery methodology
• Partner closely with our operations team to assure that our software allows us to deliver amazing service and scaled management of 10s of thousands of bikes.
• Use your passion for experimenting with new tech and new dev practices to inspire a culture of challenge and innovation

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering management experience, following agile development processes with history shipping and running enterprise products, end user mobile apps, and cloud services
• A track record of successfully scaling a software organisation up to 25 software developers and beyond
• Experience in a blended environment which combines software developed in-house tightly integrated with third party SaaS platforms to deliver an exceptional experience to end users, enterprise customers, and internal operations teams
• Experience building and nurturing cultures of operational excellence, shipping high quality products to enterprise customers and end users
• Ability to define and effectively communicate a long-term technical vision, and inspire the team
• Effective and mature communicator, able to convey complex ideas in a clear, concise manner both verbally and in writing; comfortable in business and technical discussions
• Self-starter who enjoys working in a fast-paced, innovative fast-growing environment.
• Bachelor or higher degree, or its equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems Management or similar

• Experience in a software environment where hardware was the primary product, but software was critical to delivering the overall value of the product
