Assistant Manager – IT (Workspace)
Position Title: ITISC FET Europe IT Workspace Manager
REPORTING TO: ITISC07 Senior Infra. Service Operations Manager
GEOGRAPHICAL REPORTING LOCATION: Bangalore, India
WORKING LOCATION: Bangalore, India
OBJECTIVE:
Following ITIL methodology, and utilising the existing Eurofins Policies, the objective of the Workspace Manager position is to:
- Own, develop and regularly update Intune deployment profiles, policies and associated Infrastructure and Business Application packages;
- Plan, validate and execute monthly security updates rollout on clients;
- Track Autopilot deployments and OS Patch deployments and prepare remediation actions;
- Implement/deploy and support release of business approved applications adhering to the change release process;
- Along with technical expertise this position demands the people management skills as well.
- Ensuring the delivery SLAs are met along problem-solving attitude.
SUMMARY OF ROLE AND OBJECTIVES:
He/She will be leading a team of 3-4 senior workspace engineers along with delivering the technical tasks.
- Creating, managing and maintaining Intune policies;
- Certification of Windows Autopilot profiles and troubleshooting related issues;
- Customizing End user experience with the Tenant administration;
- Defining and assigning roles to allow only required permissions for the different teams;
- Identify client issues and conduct in-depth diagnostics on Microsoft Intune products and services and respond according to SLAs;
- Core application updates in deployment profiles on regular intervals;
- Import of Hardware Hash in Intune portal before assigning deployment profile;
- Supporting mobile devices policies and application deployment on iOS/Android;
- Distribution of Applications and Software Updates via Intune;
- Creating software packages & its maintenance
- Investigate & troubleshooting application deployment related issues;
- Analyse, prepare and update monthly security updates list released by Microsoft;
- Assess patches release and prepare for deployments following ITIL process and as per Eurofins requirements and standards;
- Monitor patch deployment and remediate in case of any issues;
- Regular reporting of overall security updates compliance;
- Writing and maintaining PowerShell scripts;
- Creating work instructions;
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Initial Educational background:
University Degree in Information Technology or comparable field or relevant work experience in Information Technology (min. 5 years)
General Technical Skills:
Minimum 8 years working in Information Technology with experience or specialization in:
- Microsoft Intune;
- Microsoft Operating system: Windows up to 10; Windows Server up to 2019;
- Application packaging, repackaging and deployment;
- Office 365/Azure AD
- SCCM, WSUS, WUfB, OSD;
- Desktop Application Support;
- Microsoft Office;
Specific Technical Skills:
- Intune (Management of devices, application, and Software Updates)
- Intune administration of groups, policies and compliance
- Configuring relevant Intune policies for BYOD, CYOD and COPE scenarios;
- Tenant administration and support
- Windows Update for Business
- Good application analysis skills and knowledge of Windows Installer Packaging Standards;
- Troubleshooting the applications compatibility testing with various Windows versions;
- Application Compatibility testing and Software Distribution;
- Experience in PowerShell;
- Experience in Office 365 and Azure AD;
- Resolving configuration conflicts, registry settings, recognizing applications related problems;
- Relevant documentation preparation such as known errors, solutions, and reports which will help in continuous improvement.
