Senior Accountant (International)

Our Accounting/Finance team is seeking a Senior Accountant. This role will report into the Senior Accounting Manager of our Accounting & Finance Team. The role is responsible for the reconciliation of the intercompany accounts with the subsidiaries. The role will also be responsible for preparation of balance sheet accounts reconciliation and income statement flux analysis for the subsidiaries.

Tasks, Duties and General Responsibilities

• Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing financial transactions and records. Maintains and balances accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies.
• Maintains the Fixed Assets ledger and CIP listing for international subsidiaries by communicating to finance teams from subsidiaries. Prepare entries to record fixed assets and reconcile Fixed Assets register to general ledger. Assist with the identification and improvement of controls and processes.
• Reconciling intercompany balance differences by looking into GL transactions and communicating with finance teams from subsidiaries. Major accounts included but not limited to inventory and intercompany trade receivable / payable.
• Assists with external audits by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts, preparing information for auditors. Documenting and monitoring internal controls in support of auditing team.
• Provide support in complex accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the accounting and finance team or with management.

Qualifications/Skills

• Experience working in international environment is preferred but not required 
• Excellent communication skills.
• Language skills – ability to speak/read Chinese and / or Dutch is preferred but not required
• Mix of public and private accounting preferred
• Must be proactive and deadline oriented.
• Must possess knowledge of GAAP.
• Collaboration in a team-oriented environment is a crucial component for this role.
• Familiarity working in a SOX environment.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
• Accounting/Finance Degree required
