Systems Support Analyst

As the first systems support analyst supporting our custom software solutions, you will be responsible for helping user communities across the company be productive and get the most value out of our solutions. You will be the sole administrator and support analyst for these systems which are used to collect, manage, and analyze data. Our solutions are used broadly across the company. Our business intelligence solution is used to analyze the performance of initiatives company-wide with a lot of visibility. As a data-driven company, robust reporting and analytics capability is core to Apeel’s competitive advantage and is relied on heavily by stakeholders throughout the organization.

This position is based in Santa Barbara, CA and will report to the VP, Software Product Management. We are looking for you to join us immediately.

What You’ll Do 

• Help users across the company get the most out of our custom-developed solutions including our business intelligence solution built on top of Sisense by developing and conducting training, documentation, and user guides.
• Investigate and analyze the needs of user communities across the company to ensure their data analysis needs are met
• Provision dashboards to users across the organization
• Partner with users in order to understand their needs and help prioritize resolutions, and champion new solutions through our product and software development teams
• Manage Sisense relationships by following up on Sisense tickets, scheduling upgrades, and meeting with the Sisense Account representative
• Improve internal data analysis processes through introduction enforcement of data governance policies.
• Generate innovative ways of solving complex analytical challenges to ensure our user communities are delighted when using our software and business intelligence solutions.

What You Bring

Minimum Qualifications 

• 3+ years experience helping users with business intelligence solutions like Sisense, Grafana, Tableau, or others
• Strong proficiency with SQL and knowledge of how to structure database tables for performance improvements.
• Experience defining and maintaining a data dictionary and implementing procedures to improve data integrity and accessibility.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an appropriate blend of professionalism and friendliness
• ability to quickly synthesize information and root cause issues to come up with solutions

Preferred Qualifications 

• An analytical mindset that understands the importance of tracking metrics, both individual and team goals to increase performance
• Highly organized with a strong sense of urgency and can quickly prioritize when presented with a list of all ‘top priority’ situations
• Proven customer service skills are required in order to create, maintain and enhance user relationships
