To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Test Engineer Software.

As a tester, you will become an important part of one of the R&D teams within Smappee.
Your daily job will consist of testing new features on mobile and web applications during our R&D sprints. During the refinement sessions, you will help analyse features and think about how they can be tested and what is needed for this. You will also be responsible for further developing the automatic test suite and for performance and security testing.
It is important in this position that you have an eye for quality and that you derive satisfaction from working in a team to deliver new functionalities.

What do we expect from you?

• You achieve sprint and release goals by working together with the development, product and release management teams.
• Together with the Product Owner, you define the right acceptance criteria and test requirements for features and user stories.
• You develop, maintain and execute test scenarios for software and occasionally firmware.
• You ensure the quality of our products by performing End-to-end (E2E) regression testing.
• You support the software teams with verification and validation of new features and stories.
• You participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning and sprint review meetings.
• You participate and give feedback in go/no-go release meetings.

Requirements

• You have a bachelor/master’s degree in IT or electronic engineering or are equal by experience.
• You are a real team player and enjoy working together to build a feature end-to-end. You take responsibility for the end result.
• You have knowledge of quality assurance procedures, agile methodoligies and test concepts.
• Jenkins sounds familiar to you and Selenium/Appium have no secrets for you.
• MQTT does not leave you in the dark.
• You know Python as a programming language.
• You have (or are building) a thorough knowledge of EV charging cycles (to optimally test our End-to-End (E2E) software products).
• You speak and write fluently in English and Dutch.
