About the Role

Spin is looking for a Government Solutions Manager - Proposal Development who will work closely with the Partnerships Team and Proposal Managers to develop highly technical and competitive content for Spin’s RFP, RFI, and Tender submissions in North America and Europe.

Responsibilities

  • Develop technical proposals that synthesize information spanning from engineering, to marketing, to policy into clear, concise, and enjoyable reading
  • Position Spin in the procurement process to emerge as the winning bidder
  • Ensure high quality proposal writing in multiple languages, including working with translations firm(s) and international Spin staff
  • Advance Spin’s boilerplate content to be replicable, while still contextual and competitive
  • Support content development for other written materials beyond just proposals
  • Create a process for evaluating proposal scorings and disseminating the information to relevant parties internally
  • Dedicated and driven to closing the deal and growing our company quickly and responsibly
  • Identify opportunities to create more data-driven content, working collaboratively with internal teams to conduct research and produce analyses that support data storytelling
  • Incorporate case studies and anecdotes from our customers, staff, and clients into proposal content

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of technical writing experience and working with technical leaders, subject matter experts, and/or government agencies
  • Experience creating new content in response to emerging requirements while demonstrating approved content and approaches
  • Experience in transportation, technology, or similar fields
  • Proficient in Google products, Microsoft Suite, and Adobe Suite
  • Experience winning deals and/or championing projects that involve complex policy and technology elements
  • Thorough attention to detail when analyzing regulatory frameworks, and the ability to strategically position Spin’s proposals to be winning and profitable
  • Ability to think strategically about the mission, product, and technical challenges, with experience building and convey compelling value propositions in a written context
  • Experience with proposal content management systems
  • Proven track record meeting ambitious timelines with limited resources
  • Capability to handle sensitive material in compliance with all internal and external requirements
