The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in <b>Brisbane, Australia</b>.<br> </p><p>Key responsibilities:</p><ul><li><p>Manager the delivery of the Beenleigh to Varsity Lakes project, accountability for Scope, Time, Cost, Risk, Quality and Change Control.</p></li><li><p>Manage and coordinate the engineering, construction, testing &amp; commissioning and verification &amp; validation deliverables on the project.</p></li><li><p>Manage and coordinate the engagement of all the Participants in the resolution of Interface and Possession issues.</p></li><li><p>Facilitate the integrated Assurance process in accordance with the Integrated and Progressive Assurance Strategies.</p></li><li><p>Facilitate the Transition to Operations process in accordance with the Integration Strategies.</p></li><li><p>Supervising the production of the project plans and schedules.</p></li><li><p>Coordinating project reporting in compliance with the Alliance and Internal requirements.</p></li><li><p>Contract Administration.</p></li><li><p>Coordinating and supporting internal and external audits.</p></li><li><p><span style="display:inline;text-decoration:inherit;">Attending/chairing Project</span> meetings and arrange the preparation of progress reports, performance reviews and commercial reports.</p></li><li><p>Ensuring all activities undertaken are conducted with due regard to a high-level of continuous improvement.</p></li><li><p>Ensuring all activities undertaken are conducted with due regard to a high-level of safety.</p></li><li><p>Be a leading example of the Hitachi Rail mission, vision and values</p></li></ul><p></p><p>Skills &amp; Experience:</p><ul><li><p>Significant commercial experience (5+ years) working in complex, multi-discipline engineering projects including phases of design, procurement, construction, commissioning - ideally within the rail industry.</p></li><li><p>Experience in the following areas of project management: Customer management, scheduling, planning, critical path analysis, change management, risk management, cost estimation.</p></li><li><p>Training in PMP, Prince 2 or similar Project Management methodology.</p></li><li><p>Initiative-taking, with excellent leadership, organisational, communication and people skills.</p></li><li><p>Agile mindset, able to take prompt decisions in a challenging environment.</p></li><li><p>Ability to work and lead in a multicultural environment.</p></li><li><p>Microsoft Office proficiency.</p></li><li><p>Demonstrates perseverance, patience and commitment for long term success</p></li><li><p>Educated to degree or related trade level - Engineering</p></li></ul><p></p><p>At Hitachi Rail, we know that a diverse business is a sustainable business.
