Director, Integrated Marketing – Crop Production Solutions

As Director, Integrated Marketing – Crop Production Solutions, at Indigo Ag, you will be responsible for translating digital product innovation and commercial strategy into compelling and effective marketing, with a focus on the Carbon program. You will guide the creative development process and lead the integration of partner, content and other activities to ensure a consistent stakeholder experience and brand alignment. As a crucial interlock between the Crop Production team and the Marketing center-of-excellence, you will lead cross-functionally in order to drive business objectives and brand growth. 

Responsibilities: 

Develop marketing strategies and campaigns that leverage the center of excellence, integrate and contribute to building the Indigo brand and support offer objectives for Indigo’s crop production solutions, including our Carbon programs 

  • Drive representation of the offer/solutions level marketing plan as a key component of the overall brand portfolio marketing plan 
  • Serve as the focal point who ensures, that the offer solution messaging is compelling and aligns with the overall brand strategy  
  • Recommend and initiate marketing activation plans that support strategy based on deep knowledge of key stakeholders and other performance insights 
  • Work with the Digital and Direct Marketing team to define and develop automated customer journeys to engender trust and loyalty as measured by shared YoY goals and other metrics 
  • Execute on 3+ campaigns at any given time  

Work with creative teams to develop impactful creative execution 

  • Develop insightful creative briefs to bring messaging to life across channels, translating product attributes into compelling benefit-led creative execution 
  • Originate ideas and early drafts and lead brainstorms to inspire and accelerate final creative  
  • Shepherd creative development process - prioritizing resources, driving towards timelines, and collaborating cross-functionally for accurate representation and alignment 
  • Consult with offer and commercial teams on development of additional assets (sales, internal comms, webinars, etc.) to ensure consistency of messaging  

Demonstrate a clear understanding of the business objectivesoffer road map, and customer pain points with the ability to act as a marketing leader who strategically drives the offer, brand and demand plans by collaborating with internal stakeholders (the offer, product and commercial teams) and external partners on the Crop Production side of the business  

  • Operate as a strategic interlock connecting the marketing team to other key teams in the organization, championing the brand and driving for internal alignment 
  • Guide marketing execution at the offer/solution, partner, and brand levels to ensure consistency and alignment across the business 
  • Uncover insight, identifying areas where further information is needed, and scoping / conducting research either internally or using third party resources 
  • Leverage data to understand performance, identify areas of opportunity and provide strategic direction 

Support strategic partnerships by serving as internal champion and external trusted resource/partner 

  • Manage relationships to ensure smooth and strategic planning and execution of co-marketed promotional plans 
  • Develop a clear understanding of partner business models, needs, and goals 
  • Recommend tailored marketing activations that can be scaled by working effectively with marketing channel team members  
  • Suggest and implement optimizations to onboarding and marketing strategy to ensure the efficacy of partnership campaigns

Qualifications: 

  • 10+ years marketing experience, including development of product marketing strategies and go-to-market plans in a fast-paced, high growth environment 
  • Hands-on Experience building demand programs across multiple marketing channels 
  • Strong experience preferred in B2B and B2C product, brand, or partnership marketing  
  • Demonstrated relationship management experience with ability to hit business goals 
  • Experience managing creative projects on large and small scale 
  • Proven ability to leverage strong customer insights to write creative briefs contributing to the development of compelling campaign creative  
  • Experience supporting sales teams and sales enablement activities  
  • Preferred agility, track record of success across industries / products  
  • Agriculture experience preferred
