We are seeking a dynamic and skilled professional, well-versed in technical procurement to join our team in Karlsfeld (Munich). Collaborating closely with our CTO, you will play a crucial role in optimizing the operation of our recycling plant. Your contributions will directly translate into a significant reduction in battery waste, playing an important part in combating climate crisis. Let’s truly bring lithium-ion battery waste tozero! 🚀

Tasks

What you can expect 💥

• Strategic Procurement: Develop and implement procurement strategies for sourcing critical machinery and materials needed for recycling processes.
• Contract Negotiation and Supplier Relations: Build and maintain a reliable supplier network. Manage and negotiate contracts to ensure favorable terms that meet our technical and financial objectives.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering teams to understand technical requirements and ensure that procurement strategies support the overarching goals of the company.
• Supply Chain Oversight: Manage the entire supply chain process from order initiation to delivery, ensuring timely execution and compliance with technical specifications.
• Risk Management: Proactively evaluate and respond to supply chain risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate potential disruptions.
• Inventory Optimization: Refine inventory management practices to optimize operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Performance Monitoring: Implement and oversee KPIs to monitor and evaluate supply chain performance continuously.

Requirements

The background we would like to see 💪

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in deep tech, renewable energy, or plant construction sectors.
• Education: Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Negotiation Skills: Strong capabilities in negotiating deals, focusing on optimal technological, economic, and strategic outcomes.
• Technical Acumen: A good understanding of metallurgical or chemical engineering processes to align effectively with technical teams is a plus.
• Autonomy and Teamwork: Ability to independently manage projects while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Adaptability: Flexible and solution-oriented approach, capable of navigating the uncertainties of a startup environment.

This is how we proceed:

• After reviewing your documents we will get back to you and schedule an Intro Call where you learn about tozero, our mission and the team. We get to know you and understand your motivation.
• Prior to the next session you will receive a case study to work on. This part is important to us to assess your technical fit for the role. Your case will then be challenged by our CTO Ksenija in the second interview.
• In the third interview, you will talk to Sarah our CEO and we will evaluate your fit to our company culture (culture, values, working style, etc..).
• If both parties are happy we will make you an offer and you can start right away.
