APAC TA Senior Specialist - Japan (Yokohama)

Role Profile

The successful candidate will report to the APAC Talent Acquisition Director for North & Southeast Asia Region. He/She will be responsible for the end-to-end recruitment, including sourcing, screening, evaluating, and closing candidates, as well as developing strong relationships with hiring managers across Asia. The consultant will also be working closely within the APAC TA team, local HR Advisors and HR Administrator to achieve business outcomes.

Responsibilities


Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Effectively implement ERM's recruiting process to efficiently hire qualified employees who meet or exceed position requirements and align with ERM's culture and global strategy.
  • Perform full cycle recruiting activities on assigned requisitions, including developing job postings and search strategies, reviewing applicants, screening and evaluating candidates, coordinating interview process, and supporting final selection process.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers, including collaborating to understand their unique needs and develop a plan for successfully finding ideal candidates for each position.
  • Manage candidate process, provide a positive candidate experience, maintain responsive communication, and act as a candidate advocate, including honoring confidentiality and providing flexibility as appropriate.
  • Develop and implement hiring strategies to provide a qualified and diverse candidate pool for assigned requisitions, including passive candidate sourcing.
  • Communicate status of tasks to Business HR team and hiring managers, coordinate work cross-functionally, and share candidates with recruiting team members where a potential fit exists.
  • Maintain Applicant Tracking System to manage applicant flow and for compliance and internal reporting (requisitions, candidate profiles), and provide input on various recruiting and tracking reports.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Minimum of 5+ years proven technical recruiting and/or Sales Operations experience, successfully executing a variety of searches, including for senior-level positions.
  • Understanding of environmental and sustainability industries, and/or oil & gas, power, and mining sectors highly desired.
  • Knowledge and experience in a wide range of current recruiting policies, practices, and trends, and sourcing strategies.
  • Ability to work in a team, manage multiple clients, and provide strong consultative skills throughout the search process.
  • Proficiency with comprehensive Applicant Tracking Systems (Preferably Workday)
  • Excellent organization, verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy.
  • Proven ability to consistently and positively contribute in a fast-paced, changing work environment as well as the ability to prioritize multiple functions and tasks and manage work time efficiently.
  • Fluent Japanese required. JLPT1 minimum.
