The company is backed by a diverse set of committed investors and we have raised over $360M to date.Role DescriptionThe Senior Product Manager, ESG will be responsible for ensuring Form’s products align with our mission: energy storage for a better world. In this role, you will help define the product requirements for our multi-day storage battery to ensure we adhere to the right environmental standards and end-of-life standards. In addition, you will work cross-functionality with our policy and finance teams to identify the business case, key metrics, and top priorities for building an ESG program at Form. The Battery Product Management team is a passionate, dynamic team that works across the company, including our engineering, supply chain, finance, policy, and executive teams to ensure we deliver the right products.

What You'll Do:

  • Define the recycling standard and end-of-life strategy for our products, given the competitive and regulatory landscape, technical and supply chain requirements, and business case for Form
  • Define battery product requirements required to ensure environmental compliance within the U.S. and in future markets (e.g., EU)
  • Author an environmental impact assessment for our product, partnering cross-functionally with our customer, policy, supply chain, battery products, and analytics teams to identify the right key metrics to track & methodology to conduct analysis
  • Support structuring the business case for incorporating ESG at Form, by partnering cross-functionally with functional leaders in the supply chain, battery products, analytics, and finance teams to define key metrics

What You'll Bring:

  • Strong perspective of industry standards for recyclability and end-of-life requirements for clean energy hardware technologies, ideally for battery technologies
  • Excellent cross-functional collaborator: experience working with finance, supply chain, and product teams to identify opportunities and implement new programs related to sustainability
  • Minimum three years experience working on environmental impact assessments, compliance, or other hardware challenges in close collaboration with engineers
  • Understanding of how to conduct an environmental impact assessment for a new battery technology, critical metrics to track, and how to position this relative to other technologies
  • Strategic and data-driven mindset: able to build a compelling business case for product requirements or ESG program recommendations, acknowledging related costs or program considerations
  • Ideally have working knowledge of the environmental regulatory landscape for battery technologies (e.g., RCRA, TSCA) and how these should translate to product requirements or considerations
  • Ideally have working understanding of strategic drivers and fundamental trade-offs for implementing ESG programs
  • Able to work in a collaborative, dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Generous team player: excited to work cross-functionally with a variety of teams to deliver towards shared objectives
  • Comfortable with ambiguously-defined problems, and willingness to work toward clarity independently
  • Outstanding written and oral communicator, able to build convincing arguments in clear documentation (e.g., environmental impact assessment)
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or environmental-related field (graduate degree preferred)
