We’re looking for a Copywriter to join the Brand Experience team, reporting to the Director of Brand Experience. The Copywriter, Brand Experience will lead storytelling and communications for our logistics partners, as well as craft compelling and differentiating content for brand and marketing campaigns.

The right person is a self-starter with strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills: comfortable taking the lead, and excited about the flexibility and fast-pace of a start-up.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable rolling up their sleeves and hustling to get the job done. We value grit, integrity, and pushing the limits of what’s possible. You’re a problem-solver and solutions-oriented, bringing fixes to every roadblock and never getting too precious with your ideas.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Director, Brand Experience, to refine and maintain Bird’s brand voice across different audiences and channels
  • Lead storytelling and external communications for our logistics partners, crafting newsletters, forming relationships to inform stories and content opportunities
  • Create and execute on branded content ideas that differentiate Bird
  • Work cross-functionally with the Design and Marketing teams to create compelling campaigns for city and consumer initiatives
  • Work independently to drive work to completion, while keeping the team informed on various work streams
  • Communicate with stakeholders and subject matter experts to ensure information is accurate and differentiating
  • Maintain best practices for Bird’s style and voice, including an archive of content that can easily be searched

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in branded content, ideally at a consumer brand or start-up
  • Excellent understanding of grammar and various writing styles.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously with organization and grace.
  • Strong experience with content strategy and developing content for the different channels (OOH, event, digital, print, app).
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity and the fast-pace of a start-up.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High EQ, an ability to influence and motivate people at all levels of the organization.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated and driven. Ability to work independently and within a group setting.
  • High degree of initiative to drive projects to completion.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
