The JobThe Project Manager, Solar Service Operations will be responsible for the management of service projects affecting groups of residential solar customers. The projects will range from remediating manufacturing defects to replacing obsolescent technology. PV domain expertise is required to be successful in this role.
What You'll Do1.       Manage service projects to schedule a.       Keep an updated list of remediation status per asset b.       Follow up on tickets and work orders regularly to confirm deliverables are completed2.       Manage field service contractors a.       Send work orders to field service contractors b.       Review field service reports to confirm the scope of work is followed c.       Confirm the reports meets the documentation requirements of the project d.       Answer calls from partners and provide guidance e.       Solicit quotes for any additional work required f.        Attend weekly progress calls as needed3.       Manage aerial inspection vendors a.       Review aerial inspection results b.       Confirm PV performance status before aerial scans are performed c.       Confirm delivery of aerial inspection reports to schedule4.       Manage communications with manufacturers and clients a.       Define the remediation strategy b.       Provide regular reporting on the project statuses (internal and external) c.       Coordinate shipment of replacement inventory d.       Provide quotes, IR and field service reports to the manufacturers and clients5.       Manage communications with end customers a.       Train the contact center to answer questions associated with the defect b.       Provide periodic updates to customers c.       Speak with escalated customers directly

Experience You'll Need

  • You have expertise in solar panel manufacturing or maintenance. 
  • You have project managed a serial defect or product recall. 
  • You are comfortable reviewing field service reports and infrared inspection photos and highlighting mistakes made by field service technicians
  • PV manufacturing and O&M experience required
