Job Description:

We are looking for a R&D project manager to join our HVDC team at Hitachi Energy in Kraków. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with talent team of engineers and lead R&D projects focusing on development of innovative solutions for HVDC application.

Your responsibilities

  • Set-up and execute R&D projects together with your project team in alignment with our R&D portfolio management.  
  • Develop detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates and resource plans, perform risk analysis and monitor the progress of plans against project milestones and budgets.
  • Proactively work with the team to identify potential risks and uncertainties associated with the implementation of new solutions. Develop risk management plans and strategies to respond to risks as they rise.
  • Drive requirements analysis, pre-studies, solution development and documentation of results in the projects
  • As an R&D Project Manager you will be a part of R&D Project Management Office. As a team we are all responsible to work on our processes, quality, learn from/help each other and to develop individually and as a team.

Your background

  • University degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in electrical engineering, mechatronics or similar
  • >5 years of project management experience in leading product development projects high voltage, high power applications, MV drives or similar applications
  • Drive the implementation of the backlog in a transparent and efficient way and ensure quality and timeliness of releases.
  • Responsible of scope definition, budget estimation and planning of the different R&D projects
  • Ability to lead geographically dispersed teams in multi-site global environment.
