About Yggdrasil Trees:
Yggdrasil Trees is an ambitious startup (pre-seed) integrating Direct Air Capture (DAC) technology into urban planning. Our mission is to combat climate change through innovative, nature-inspired DAC solutions.
What We’re Looking For:
We’re seeking an innovative technical co-founder with a deep understanding of Direct Air Capture (DAC) technology and its applications. This person will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and scaling our DAC systems. The ideal candidate is someone with a track record of success in DAC research and engineering who thrives in fast-paced, early-stage environments and is ready to take on the challenges of climate tech entrepreneurship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and technical strategy for Yggdrasil Trees’ DAC systems.
- Oversee research, prototyping, and the implementation of DAC technology in urban environments.
- Collaborate with the CEO, the team, and urban planners to integrate DAC technology with city landscapes.
- Drive the innovation process to optimize CO2 capture, energy efficiency, and sustainability.
- Build and manage a technical team as the company grows.
- To advance the company's mission, engage with stakeholders, including accelerator programs, technical consultants, investors, and partners.
- Contribute to business development, strategy, and fundraising efforts.
Required Qualifications:
- Expertise in Direct Air Capture (DAC) technology or related fields (e.g., carbon capture, air filtration, climate tech).
- Strong understanding of the science, engineering, and economics behind DAC systems.
- Experience with the design and development of DAC technologies.
- Ability to work closely and successfully communicate with multidisciplinary teams (e.g., urban planners, engineers, designers).
- Entrepreneurial mindset, enthusiasm for problem-solving, willingness to take risks and adapt in a dynamic startup environment.
- Degree in chemical engineering, environmental science, or a related field.
Preferred Experience:
- Hands-on experience in prototyping and scaling DAC or related technologies.
- Knowledge of urban sustainability, green infrastructure, or smart city solutions.
- Familiarity with environmental regulations and carbon markets.
- Previous experience in a startup environment or leading technical teams
