About the Role

The Senior Benefits and Immigration Analyst will be responsible for benefits administration, plan design, and vendor management. This role reports to the Director of Compensation and Benefits. The ideal candidate will possess a high level of attention to detail, organization, and project management skills which they'll leverage to identify and visualize trends from a large volume of data sets relating to Spin's benefits programs. Additionally, we are a global organization and need someone experienced with immigration processes, procedures, and laws.

Benefit Responsibilities:

This will encompass about 80% of your role:

  • Partner with Sr. Benefits Partner in the creation and implementation of the annual benefits strategy and philosophy that drives the development and positioning of benefits programs
  • Consult and advise employees and managers on all benefits-related questions
  • Support in developing and delivery of global benefits training and communication for employees
  • Participates in the development and analysis of all benefit survey data
  • Support and maintain the relationship with benefits brokers and carriers
  • In partnership with Sr Benefits Partner run the annual benefits renewal and open enrollment processes including plan design analysis and modeling and development and delivery of the open enrollment communication and training materials
  • Manage the administering benefit plans including eligibility, enrollment, vendor management, and assistance with employee questions/issues. Assist with filings and compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations
  • Partner with Ford in 401k Administration and respond to 401(k) inquiries from managers and employees relating to enrollments, plan changes, and elections
  • Participate in ongoing Workday product releases and testing
  • Participate in research and analysis for policies, programs, and wellness initiatives
  • Partner with the payroll department to ensure accurate benefit deductions and earnings
  • Knowledge of all federal, state, and local regulatory requirements such as ERISA, DOL, FMLA, COBRA, etc.
  • Resolve escalated benefit/leave issues using a high level of critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Immigration and Global Mobility Responsibilities:

This will be about 20% of your role:

  • Perform daily administration of immigration and mobility-related programs:
    • Work with Immigration Counsel for the preparation and management of immigration documentation for US non-immigrant visas and green card processes
    • Coordinate global business visa and work permit processes with Immigration Counsel and stakeholders
    • Coordinate with Human Resources on Form I-9 compliance
  • Serve as the central point of contact and manage information among various stakeholders for the US and global immigration, relocation, and global mobility:
    • Stay abreast of and communicate relevant legal changes and related program updates
    • Provide ad hoc reporting
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of policies and procedures related to the US and global immigration, relocation, and global mobility.

Qualifications

  • Three or more years of experience in benefits administration to include plan design, vendor management and negotiations, implementation of new benefits, and managing open enrollment.
  • Prepare required and ad hoc cost model, forecast, and deep analysis for regulatory compliance; financial analysis; internal reporting; projects and strategic initiatives; and as required for brokers, vendors, and carriers or internal stakeholders.
  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel and/or data analysis skills including creating charts and graphs, VLookups, Pivot tables, dashboards, and the ability to story-tell with data.
  • Workday benefits experience a plus
