Full-Stack Engineer

About This Role:

We are looking for a full-stack, mission-driven developer with experience building browser extensions, mobile & web applications. To achieve our ambitious goals, we are looking for a developer to join Finch’s founding team, working closely with our founder, and data team. The ideal candidate will be a passionate, hands-on leader with a desire to stay technical and code early on before focusing and scaling the organization. We want someone with an innate curiosity who would enjoy getting up to speed on consumer-based climate solutions. In this role, you will be a key driver in helping achieve our company vision of making it easier for brands and consumers to live sustainably by leading our product strategy and managing technical execution. This role is critical to Finch’s success.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for an experienced, entrepreneurial full-stack engineer who can help define and execute against our visionary product roadmap. 

• You are comfortable translating requests from non-technical colleagues into working software.
• You have an interest in machine learning and neural networks.
• You have a solid understanding of web and internet fundamentals
• You believe testing and automation are critical elements in the software development lifecycle
• You have experience developing early stage and greenfield applications
• You enjoy working in a dynamic and Agile environment
• You are passionate about learning and growing

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years experience working with the following:

• Python 3
• Javascript + React

And at least 1 year of experience with:

• Flask
• Redis
• boto3
• Celery
• Typescript
• Writing browser plugins
• AWS

We are looking for someone within a 3 hour time difference from Eastern Standard Time. This role will be remote for the foreseeable future.
