Electrical Engineering Co-op, R&D

The company is backed by a diverse set of committed investors and we have raised over $360M to date.Role Description The R&D Engineering team acts as an interdisciplinary internal consulting group serving the hardware needs of Form’s battery development teams. We work closely with subject matter experts to deliver solutions that help us better understand Form’s battery technology. We need your help to design and build creative solutions to Form’s most pressing challenges. This is a great opportunity to solve a wide array of technical problems with a large cross section of the Form Energy team.

What You'll Do:

• Work across teams to design, build, and test new prototypes for the next generation of low-cost energy storage
• Define electrical requirements and develop instrumentation to support electrochemical testing and battery system design
• Integrate electromechanical equipment into test stands to support cell R&D
• Perform hands-on prototyping of your designs
• Produce engineering documents such as SOPs, schematics, and supporting design justification
• Work with R&D Engineering team members on various projects based on your skills/interests and Form’s top priorities
• Promote safety, especially in the development of new laboratory processes or experiments

What You'll Bring:

• Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering
• Some previous electrical design experience (through industrial internship or academic positions)
• Experience in schematic capture and PCB design (Altium preferred)
• Prototyping, soldering, or other relevant hands-on experience
• Battery experience not required
