About the Role

The Procurement Specialist will be working with the global Supply Chain Operations team purchasing function by engaging with current and future suppliers. The candidate will centralize and process procurement requests from quote to delivery. In addition, the position will team up with strategic planning and identify potential processes of improvement. The role requires a proactive, detail oriented, and some time work with project approach with the ability to multitask, think creatively and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment. The Procurement Specialist will interface with many across functionals though organization, and will have the ability to function and communicate effectively with all levels of management.

Responsibilities

  • Create and review PRs for accuracy and then generate and place POs toward suppliers on Hardware products.
  • Work closely with Accounts Payable and resolve supplier invoice discrepancies company-wide whenever occurred to ensure POs are processed on a timely basis.
  • Apply or establish the purchasing and supply chain management processes toward operational needs.
  • Review and write summaries of contract financial terms for Operations and Finance teams and take on the resolution process with team members on PR/PO and contract issues and exceptions.
  • Establish and develop strong working relationships within the Operations team.
  • Proactively drive company-wide PR/PO process and execution, knowledge of Product Development in NPI/ECN/ECR & RMA processes.
  • Improve where ever necessary and implement the procurement workflow within Netsuite.
  • Report on purchasing activities company-wide, working with cross functional to avoid bottleneck workflow and make improvements whenever necessary.
  • Maintain all PRs and POs in NetSuite on a daily basis, close out expired PRs and POs quarterly with extreme attention to detail.
  • Maintain integrity of part numbers in NetSuite to align with Arena (PLM system).
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and requests.
  • Other duties as assigned within the Supply Chain Operations organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a business or science/engineering field.
  • 5+ years of procurement and/or supply chain experience in micro-mobility, consumer electronics, or other related industries.
  • Outstanding process conscientious with proficiency in Netsuite, Arena, and/or other PLM systems, spreadsheets, and databases to extract, make reasoning, and organize large datasets.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills to create and deliver presentations.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a dynamic environment and build consensus as a team player.
  • High degree of flexibility during evenings and weekends to work with worldwide teams in different time zones.
  • Strong work ethic and goal-oriented — no task is too big or too small.
