Job Description

As the first Manager of Solution Architects at Afresh, you will be responsible for managing our growing team of Solution Architects. You will guide and mentor all Solution Architects in their individual customer integrations, helping them develop new skills, and make all Afresh integrations exceptional. You will also help craft the foundational playbook for our team, building new processes and documentation to continue to perform and accelerate successful integrations with future customers, and you may be called in to lead technical overviews in our sales processes with those customers. You have technical and commercial experience in your own right, enjoy creating new processes in a fast-paced environment and love mentoring and developing others.

What will you be doing?

  • Lead 4-5 Solution Architects, providing mentorship and leadership, supporting personal and professional growth, and fostering community in our team
  • Help hire, onboard, and train new Solution Architect team members
  • Help to build and improve upon our integration playbook and documentation to make new customer integrations streamlined, effective, and and an enjoyable experience for all internal and external stakeholders
  • Deeply understand Afresh integration needs and customer context; help other Solution Architects also understand these and successfully communicate the associated value to customers
  • Aid with prioritization, complex technical data validation and mapping, and critical communications around new customer integrations
  • During sales processes, provide technical expertise to customer's IT teams
  • Effectively collaborate with Afresh's Sales, Deployment, Product, Engineering, Support and Customer Success teams

What skills and experience do you need?

  • 4+ years of experience completing technical integrations and 2+ years of experience leading technical integration teams and/or teams of Solution Architects
  • Humble and empathetic leadership, mentorship, and coaching skills
  • Exceptional foresight and proactivity; comfort making decisions within ambiguity
  • Organized and self-motivated individual with a strong desire to build new processes and document document document!
  • Detail and process orientation, with the ability to manage many complex projects spanning many external and internal stakeholders
  • Commercial mindset that allows you to understand customer business processes and act on what our customers care about most
  • Strong data analytics skills with experience working with databases and SQL, and validating messy customer data. Experience with Snowflake preferable.
  • Experience in grocery and/or B2B SaaS preferred, but not required
  • Open to travel
