Where in the world of OVO will I be working?

We're growing! We currently have a vacancy in our QA team for an automation engineer to come in and be an integral part of our Technology strategy. Working in an Agile team, the role reports directly into a Delivery Manager and will also be part of the Test Tribe where the Test & Quality Lead will provide guidance on the QA Strategy.

The role will be about delivering quality, usability and business value thus ensuring systems that OVO and our customers use are simple but robust and most importantly allow us to serve our customers in both the quickest and efficient way.

That sounds great! What will I be doing?

• Perform Enterprise level automated E2E tests on a new, bespoke payments & Direct Debit system
• Apply, design and develop automated testing strategies and build on our automated testing framework
• To work as part of an Agile team on high profile projects and deliverables that are key to the success of the business
• Be involved in product design to guarantee adherence of test coverage for meeting end user requirements
• Estimate test activity accurately and coordinate with team members for work activities
• Assist the writing of user stories ensuring acceptance criteria cover all edge cases and Use Case Scenarios are defined
• Plan and coordinate end-to-end testing activities across projects and product teams within agile teams
• Build relationships and collaborate with the Engineering Team and Business Stakeholders
• Creation and timely delivery of testing deliverables including test reports and metrics on overall end-to-end quality of BAU sprint work and projects

What experience you’ll need:

• Experience of creating Test Cases based on requirements and design documents
• A strong understanding of Automation concepts
• Experience of BDD and TDD within Automation frameworks
• Experience in writing JavaScript/TypeScript
• API testing experience
• Git/Github, Jira, Confluence & Miro
• Good planning and organisation skills
• Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical team members
• Familiar with Agile principles
