Job Brief 

This is a part-time (20hrs per week) contractor role, anticipated to be open for 4 months. In this position, you will have an impact on Twelve’s mission to lead the way to a fossil-free future through carbon transformation. You will be an integral part of the Twelve’s development of CO2 conversion processes. Your responsibilities will include owning the PLM (product lifecycle management) processes end-to-end while reporting to the Sr. Sourcing Manager. This role includes developing and implementing new PLM procedures across the enterprise within a fluid startup environment. As the PLM lead, you will mentor and provide guidance to existing team members and managers during the implementation.

You will be responsible for maintaining and improving those processes. A key part of this role is providing training and support to the Mfg Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and IT teams. In collaboration with these teams, you will lead efforts to bring structure and discipline to Twelve’s configuration management system to ensure robust, efficient, and agile processes. We are seeking a team focused leader with strong PLM experience who is excited about Twelve’s mission. Drive open decisions remaining to implement PLM suitable to Twelve’s cross functional needs.

This is a hybrid role (~2 days per week onsite) based in Alameda, California.

What you will do 

  • Develop and implement Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) / Configuration Management (CM) processes and procedures such as production, planning, purchasing, engineering change order (ECO), quality, BOM, finance, release procedures, etc., across the organization.

  • Develop and maintain documentation including configuration management plans, change control procedures, and user guides.

  • Work with the product and engineering teams to coordinate and manage the release of product configurations and associated documentation such as Bill of Materials (BOM), engineering and manufacturing drawings, specifications, etc.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including engineering, technical program management, and supply chain) to understand their configuration needs and ensure compliance.

  • Provide training and support to end users on PLM system functionality and best practices.

  • Maintain Product definition and related information throughout the life cycle.

  • Managing and maintaining business processes and information systems.

 Who you are

  • You have 8+ years of experience in PLM and configuration management at growing startups and/or mature companies in production.

  • You have experience managing new product introduction (NPI) phases and effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineering and supply chain.

  • You have experience developing and implementing new PLM systems and processes.

  • You are an expert in enterprise PLM software such as Oracle, Arena, etc.

  • You have experience building and managing a team of PLM and Operations processes.

  • Ability to work with different teams with Twelve, self-motivated and able to manage multiple priorities.

  • Strong passion for leading, coaching, mentoring and helping others be successful

  • You are able to interpret engineering drawings, BOM, ECO, Deviation, Manufacturing Process, and quality data.

  • You have project management skills and strong change management principles that allow you to work and influence broadly.

A range for the included position is listed below. Be advised, actual offer details are determined by job category, job location, and candidate skill level. 
 
United States Wage Range: $133-$150 per hour
