Site Maintenance Technician / Infrastructure Assistant

Terraformation is hiring a Site Maintenance Technician/Infrastructure Assistant to support ourbasic infrastructure at our Kona, North Kohala, and Waimea locations. Kona is currently theprimary site. The job is to support the Infrastructure Manager in providing maintenance, repairsand basic infrastructure for our forestry team. We have plant nurseries, an off-grid seed bank,irrigation systems, and field equipment to maintain.

Responsibilities:

• Irrigation/Plumbing installation and repairs
• Basic carpentry work and repairs
• Maintenance of tools and equipment
• Maintenance of mechanical equipment- small engines and UTV/ATVs.
• Keeping storage organized and clean, empty trash
• Landscaping and rock work
• Painting/cleaning
• Flexibility around job duties

Minimum Qualifications

• Ability to work outdoors and lift 50+ pounds
• 4 years of experience in maintenance fields including: handyman, construction, site
• Maintenance, irrigation installation, general mechanic
• Knowledge of safe use of tools for plumbing, construction and light mechanical work

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of woodworking/construction
• Knowledge of Irrigation/outdoor plumbing systems
• Knowledge of mechanical maintenance of trucks, UTV/ATVs, small engines (2cycle)
• Knowledge of Solar electrical systems.
