Job Description
Our growing start-up needs to add a Field Service Technician experienced with Electrical Vehicle (EV) charging. The ideal candidate will have professional driving experience, knowledge of EV charging stations, hands-on experience with industrial electronics, and be comfortable with intermittent heavy lifting. This is an hourly position with regular overtime.
Responsibilities
- Load SparkCharge EV charging equipment into a vehicle (equipment weighs 50-70lbs).
- Use GPS and SparkCharge’s app to locate EV to be charged.
- Communicate with the owner to ensure that their EV charging port is unlocked.
- Safely unload and set up the SparkCharge “RoadieTM" equipment--a stack of 1 to 4 batteries, with a charger on top.
- Safely initiate and complete the charging sequence (equipment operates at high voltage and current).
- Troubleshoot the equipment and EV if charging is unsuccessful
- Disconnect equipment when charging is completed, load back up into company vehicle, and drive to next location.
- Report information about each operation to management every day.
- Unload all equipment from the service van and set it up for overnight recharging daily.
Requirements
- Driver's license.
- Excellent or perfect driving record--no moving violations.
- Ability to pass a thorough background check.
- Proven history of being punctual, reliable, and courteous.
- Ability to lift 70lb equipment multiple times per day.
- Excellent customer service skills; represent the company in a professional manager.
- Ability to use simple electronic equipment.
