MARKETING DESIGN ASSOCIATE

Advanced Energy Economy (AEE) is a national association of businesses that are making the energy we use secure, clean, and affordable. AEE is the only industry association in the U.S. that represents the full range of advanced energy technologies and services, both grid-scale and distributed. Advanced energy includes energy efficiency, demand response, energy storage, wind, solar, hydro, nuclear, electric vehicles, and more. AEE represents more than 100 companies in the $238 billion U.S. advanced energy industry, which employs 3.2 million U.S. workers.

AEE’s mission is transforming public policy to enable rapid growth of advanced energy businesses. We educate, engage, and advocate at the federal level, in wholesale electricity markets, and more than a dozen states for executive actions, legislation, and regulations that expand the size and value of markets for advanced energy products and services. We also offer business intelligence products and select business development opportunities to help advanced energy companies grow.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Advanced Energy Economy (AEE) is seeking a marketing professional to support AEE’s digital marketing strategy. This position will execute AEE’s marketing plan, provide design support for social media platforms and channels (e.g., image creation), promote and manage webinars, and develop and design promotional components for AEE’s products and services, including but not limited to events, membership, and PowerSuite (proprietary software platform to track energy policy). The Marketing Design Associate will report to the Marketing Director, work in close coordination with the communications team, and serve as an in-house resource in support of our affiliated organizations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Execute marketing strategy to promote participation and engagement for events, PowerSuite, membership, webinars and other products and services.

  • Conduct AEE’s day-to-day marketing digital design activities

  • Monitor and protect brand and corporate identity and ensure content consistently adheres to brand guidelines across all marketing and advertising channels

  • Implement SEO to attract targeted contacts and drive conversion

  • Provide design support for social media presence on Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook

  • Prepare and manage the creative development and visual design of digital and occasional print marketing assets, campaigns, and other materials

  • Manage content on all AEE and affiliated websites and leverage various channels (social media, websites, etc.) for campaigns

  • Execute promotional/advertising campaigns

  • Manage Inbound Marketing tools (HubSpot), including list creation, maintenance, and organization

 
  • Provide technical support for monthly webinar series

  • Monitor and report on effectiveness of marketing messages and campaigns

  • Where applicable, work closely with internal/external design teams and assist with new product/service launches

  • Actively maintain logos of current members and update website as necessary

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification in business, marketing or graphic design preferred

  • Minimum two years related B2B marketing or digital design experience with demonstrated impact

  • Exceptional organizational, planning, and time-management skills, and meticulous attention to detail and quality

  • Ability to prioritize multiple activities and competing deadlines

  • Desire to expand expertise

  • Ability to demonstrate initiative, to be a self-starter, and to maintain focus in a fast-paced, high-energy, and creative team environment

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, willing to provide excellent internal and external customer service and ability to work productively with remote teams

  • Experience using marketing automation tools (HubSpot familiarity preferred)

  • Experience with css, html, Adobe product suite, Twitter and LinkedIn required (Facebook a plus)
