Job Mission
As the Administrative Assistant, you will report to the Director and play a crucial role in streamlining operations for the Internal Forestry Operations (IFO) team. Your responsibilities include supporting the IFO Head of Climate Impact, various managers, and the Infrastructure Manager. You will organize meetings and events, manage travel and records, and oversee the procurement and inventory of supplies and equipment.

Being passionate about solving climate change and understanding the critical role of natural climate solutions in sequestering carbon and restoring the balance between humans and the environment will make this position thrive and ensure team success.

Job Type:  Full Time/ 40hrs a week

Location:  Kailua-Kona, Hawaii (occasional remote work can be arranged)

Salary: $19 - $24/hour, plus equity (depending on location and experience) and employee benefits


Responsibilities

  • Support IFO Leadership
  • General office duties
  • Schedule and organize virtual and in person team events
  • Support the development of team processes and documentation
  • Support the team with a wide variety of record keeping including equipment
  • Support PM in budget tracking for projects
  • Ensuring supplies are stocked for facilities and offices
  • Support improvement of workplace culture

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience administrative assistance
  • Experience with Google Suite Tools (mobile and desktop)
  • Diligent, paying attention to detail and well organized
  • Posses a valid driver's license and have a clean driving record

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of forestry projects
  • Understanding of Hawaiian culture and how it pertains to ecosystem restoration
  • Passionate about solving climate change and embrace the critical role that native forest restoration and agroforestry plays in sequestering carbon and restore the balance between humans and the environment
