Job Description

The Creative Director will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure products or services adhere to the company’s brand and overall vision. The successful candidate will be responsible for the company’s look and feel by developing original visuals and generating compelling creative materials (graphics, blogs, product manuals, pitch decks, social posts, product presentations, videos, podcasts, etc.).

This is not merely a management position--this is a hands-on role. You will be responsible for creating original artwork, coaching less-experienced artists, and helping to meet all deadlines. If you cannot develop original, outstanding branding graphics independently, then this is not the position for you.

You must be a visual storyteller that can demonstrate the ability to lead a creative team to connect with customers.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Manage the creative process from concept to completion, including scheduling and deadlines
  • Create branded and beautiful graphics
  • Work closely with the sales, marketing, and engineering teams.
  • Direct the creative team in the production of all marketing collateral.
  • Ensure visual communication and brand standards are continuously elevated.
  • Assist in client pitches and proposals
  • Review work, troubleshoot, and provide feedback to creative teams
  • Develop graphics and visual workflows for app development team
  • Manage and cultivate the career development of staff members, including designers and videographers/photographers

Requirements

Candidates must have:

  • Eight or more years of branding/art/creative experience at a business
  • A bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Marketing or related discipline
  • Experience establishing and growing a company brand
  • Experience recording, editing, and distributing podcasts
  • A strong desire to work in a fast-paced start-up environment
  • Experience with Google Suite
  • Expert level ability within Adobe Creative Suite
  • Strong expertise with Microsoft Word and Power Point
  • Experience utilizing Social Media to promote products
  • Experience with Asana or other project management platforms

  • Experience in the EV or automotive market
