<div>Zoox’s Robot Software Infrastructure team is looking for a senior/staff software engineer to help build the core platform services that power configuration and runtime systems across our autonomous vehicle fleet.</div><div><br></div><div>Our team develops full-stack systems that manage startup behavior, runtime settings, and software/hardware configuration across vehicles and cities—ensuring safe, consistent operation at scale.</div><div><br></div><div>Example Challenges</div><div>How should a vehicle determine what to do when it wakes up?</div><div>How can a fleet coordinate updates across time zones for 24/7 service?</div><div>How do we detect and recover from misconfigurations in runtime?</div><div><br></div><div>If you're excited to work on foundational systems that keep a robotaxi fleet running smoothly in the real world, we’d love to talk.</div><br><br><h3>In this role, you’ll join a growing team that is responsible for:</h3><ul><li>Design and build robust microservices for vehicle config and runtime systems</li><li>Develop startup-time and runtime auditing/control of software and hardware settings</li><li>Own service architecture that connects vehicle and cloud for dynamic configuration</li><li>Collaborate with vehicle software, tools, and operations teams across the company</li><li>Help drive long-term technical direction for platform configuration infrastructure</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>8+ years of experience in cloud systems architecture and development</li><li>Deep experience designing, building, and operating cloud-based microservices</li><li>Proficient in Kotlin or Java, REST APIs, and SQL</li><li>Experience building data pipelines and APIs between cloud and edge devices</li><li>Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (Kubernetes, Docker, etc.)</li><li>Strong systems thinking and ability to understand complex, cross-cutting architectures</li></ul><h3>Bonus Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Experience in robotics, autonomy, or large-scale distributed systems</li><li>Familiarity with vehicle environments, maps, GPS, and OTA updates</li></ul><br><div><b>About Zoox</b></div><div>Zoox is developing the first ground-up, fully autonomous vehicle fleet and the supporting ecosystem required to bring this technology to market.
