SUMMARY

The Interconnection Coordinator is responsible for managing the interconnection process for projects within Nexamp’s 1GW PV and PV+Storage pipeline. This role will ensure that Nexamp’s designs and document packages comply with utility requirements in order to successfully interconnect distributed generation projects. This position will also maintain the proprietary internal trackers and project databases for Nexamp’s projects within one or more geographic regions.  The successful candidate will be organized, pro-active, goal-oriented, and efficiency as well as possessing technical acumen. The Interconnection Coordinator will be part of the Grid Integration Team and will work closely with the Business Development and Design Engineering teams as well as the Interconnection Engineers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Independently maintain and update the internal project trackers
  • Design and draft single line diagrams and three line diagrams for utility Interconnection Applications.
  • Manage administrative tasks associated with a project throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Review Interconnection Agreements and drive the interconnection process through final execution.
  • Compile the supplemental documents required as a part of interconnection application package and close-out package.
  • Review interconnection application package for compliance with utility regulations and tariff.
  • Coordinate meetings and take accurate notes during recurring calls with utility.
  • Work with the distribution utility and internal Legal team to update interconnection agreements for project financing.
  • Maintain consistent records of each project through the interconnection process.
  • Manage a portfolio of projects and related data-intake from internal teams.
  • Support the Grid Integration team with implementation and operation of interconnection and commissioning trackers.

QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate must be enthusiastic, self-motivated, hands-on, results-oriented, and a team player.

Key qualifications as follows:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, Engineering or related field preferred
  • 2+ years of experience and working knowledge of the Solar industry preferred.
  • A strong background in office organization or project management
  • Strong project management, reporting and technical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, attention detail, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as work independently
  • Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple projects and tasks
  • AutoCAD proficiency and working knowledge of AC and DC electrical principles preferred
