JOB OVERVIEW

Reporting to the VP, Corporate Services, the Director, Marketing, Communications & Outreach is responsible for leading the development of a progressive, agile communications team that delivers bold advancement of Laurentis' brand across key internal and external stakeholders - including current, prospective and former employees, the general market, the media and community. This role has accountability for providing direction and oversight for the communications and outreach program at Laurentis. This includes establishing proper processes and cadence to communications across multiple channels (internal and external).


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Working in accordance with prescribed safety procedures and regulations:

  • Design and implement a comprehensive, strategic corporate communication plan that aligns with the organization’s objectives, strategy, and core values that drive corporate brand equity with employees and external stakeholders.
  • Providing executive level communications support and advice to the President & CEO, the senior leadership team, and the Board of Directors.
  • Leading the development and execution of internal and external communications strategies and tactical plans to deliver on the overarching marketing and communications strategy.
  • Strategically positioning Laurentis as a source of knowledge and expertise in safety, project management and nuclear services.
  • Developing and delivering strategic initiatives in support of Laurentis' mission and mandate, as approved by the Board.
  • Fostering a culture of innovation, inclusion, and agility through leveraging new and existing channels to reach employees with core messages; develop messaging frameworks that inform, engage, and inspire them to become brand ambassadors.
  • Represent and engage in purposeful partnerships and collaborations externally (e.g., governments; and many other individuals and public and private sector organizations).
  • Responsible for acting as the Primary Relationship Lead with the Ministry of Energy and other government entities.
  • Coordinating the proactive, timely and effective information exchange and interaction between Laurentis' board of directors and representative(s) on all major financial, operational and policy matters.
  • Develop agendas for meetings between Laurentis (President & CEO) and the Minister and Deputy Minister, preparing appropriate briefing materials and implementing decisions flowing from those meetings.
  • Keep Laurentis leadership apprised of key messages from government ministries and officials, providing forward-looking updates and analyses of issues and opportunities for optimizing Laurentis' strategic interests.
  • Responsible for making recommendations on participation with policy driving organizations.
  • Other Duties as Required


EXPERIENCE

We are seeking dynamic and results-driven professionals who have:

  • With a minimum of 10 years of professional communications or marketing experience
  • Proven experience in managing a team of communications professionals in a multinational corporation.
  • Extensive knowledge of federal/provincial/territorial governments function and protocols.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing strategies and business plans is required.
  • Track record of successful strategy development and execution as well as investor relations.
  • Excellent project management skills including the ability to plan and the ability to collaborate with other teams and across the organization.
