Working here will be unlike any job you've had before.
Take ownership and accountability for getting stuff done. Manage internal and external project activities related to terrestrial biomass carbon storage, anticipating commercial needs and planning accordingly. Work directly with terrestrial biomass carbon storage suppliers to understand their processes and care about our customers.
Design and refine Isometric MRV protocols, outlining quantification and monitoring requirements for diverse terrestrial biomass carbon storage methods. Utilise modelling techniques to assess project baselines, counterfactuals and system boundaries, supporting project validation, verification and credit issuances. Evaluate and develop frameworks to mitigate reversal risks associated with various terrestrial carbon storage techniques.
Provide strategic direction for terrestrial biomass carbon storage projects, engaging with academia, national labs and industry partners to stay informed about market dynamics and emerging science.
A PhD in ecology, biology, environmental & earth sciences, geoscience, chemical engineering or a related field, with a strong research portfolio focused on terrestrial carbon storage in biomass.
At least 5 years of people management experience, with the ability to inspire and lead a team of talented scientists, fostering a collaborative culture of open communication and teamwork.
Strong project management skills, a solution-oriented mindset and a track record of delivering innovative and robust solutions in response to complex scientific problems.
