About This Role

We are seeking for a motivated and collaborative Global Category Director to manage and drive growth to one of our categories at Apeel Sciences. The Global Category Director plays a critical role for the organization, communicating vision, managing the category 5 year product roadmap and enabling  Apeel to achieve its long term financial objectives.  As the Global Category Director you will drive alignment and prioritization for almost all cross functional teams in our organization.

What You’ll Do

• Identify and prioritize business opportunities, communicate category vision, manage the category 5-year product roadmap.
• Manage category P&L and be responsible for overall financial performance success of a category
• Determine and manage the category pricing strategy
• Support commercial teams to seize new business opportunities
• Leads large and complex cross-functional and cross- organizational projects with high visibility
• Lead Monthly Business Review and Quarterly Business Review Meetings
• Recognized internally as a functional expert and is sought out to solve most complex issues within own function
• Applies deep subject matter expertise to successfully and innovatively propose solutions to complex problems
• Provides coaching and guidance on job performance and career development to a team of Product Managers

What You Bring

• Engineering or science bachelor’s degree plus + 12 years of related experience, or Masters + 10 years of related experience
• Previous experience owning and managing P&L with strong sense of accountability for business success
• Cross functional leadership
• Experience managing pricing in a multinational setting
• The ideal candidate will be a critical thinker and doer with a “roll-up-your- sleeves” attitude to work successfully in a fast-paced environment
• Self-motivated to bring teams together to meet deliverables
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, strong bias towards data driven decision- making
• Inquisitive, listening, and learning mentality 
• Effective written and verbal communication as well as presentation skills to both customers and Apeel team members
• Experience managing CPG or other consumer good categories is a plus
• Spanish is a plus
